PANEKA Injection 1's is a proton pump inhibitor, primarily used to treat gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, erosive esophagitis (acid-related damage to the esophagus lining), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other conditions caused due to excessive acid in the stomach. GERD is a condition that occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (esophagus). Zollinger Ellison syndrome is a rare condition in which a gastrin-secreting tumor of the pancreas causes excessive acid production leading to peptic ulcers.
